✨ What’s this session about? ✨

This session is to give you time and space to consider how you’d like to show up creatively for yourself in the next three months.

‘Creative self care’ will look different to each of us, and our aim is to help you reflect on what it means to you in your life, right now.

We’ll be reflecting through writing and creating, in any way that makes sense to you. There are no wrong answers and there’s no justification needed!

✨ Who’s leading this session? ✨

🌱 Caitlin Gwynn (aka Caitlin the Creative) 🌱

Caitlin is a self styled creativity coach and small business cheerleader - she's dedicated to encouraging burned out creative business owners to have hobbies and get back in touch with their creative sides. Caitlin's a huge believer in the power of hobbies and creative outlets to encourage experimentation, failure, play, and most of all, fun. She lives in Cardiff with her cat/office assistant, Freya, and her mountain of craft supplies When she's not cheerleading, you can find her cooking, playing video games, in the library, or having a nap.

🌱 Eden Silver-Myer (aka Eden Fay) 🌱

Eden is an art facilitator and mindfulness teacher, who loves to work with individuals and groups to help them to be kind to themselves and look after their mental health through mindfully creating. For Eden, creating art is so much more than creating art; it’s about our relationships with ourselves. It can help us to show ourselves compassion, let ourselves be imperfect humans, and process the world.

Eden lives in Oxfordshire with her partner and their two furbabies, Effie and Seymour. She loves sewing, putting her hands in paint and eating salt and vinegar crisps (not all at the same time).

✨ What’s the structure of the session? ✨

🌱 We will start with an optional mindfulness meditation delivered by Eden, to help settle into the present moment and let go of your to-do list.

🌱 Caitlin will then lead us through some writing exercises to help you tap into your inner creativity and have some fun in the process!

🌱 Next is the art making portion of the session, where we can each explore our creativity by *creating.* Eden will give some ideas of where you might like to start, and we’ll all create in our own way, together, with our microphones off. There’ll be some relaxing music to help set the mood.

✨ What will I need to bring? ✨

🌱 A journal/notebook/some paper to write on

🌱 Something to write with

🌱 Art or craft materials - whatever comes to mind when you hear “creative self care”. It might be paints, pens, embroidery, a puzzle… whatever you associate with calmness, creativity, fun etc.

🌱 A hand-drawn colouring/journaling page will also be provided in the confirmation email which you are welcome colour/fill in during the session, either by printing it out or digitally. You can use the sheet outside of the session too!
